SUMMARY

​REXi Hybrid Farm Planning 

Darren Doherty discussed the REXi, a hybrid farm planning Masterclass developed in 2019 following the successful 2016 REX World tour. The REXi course is a 4-day on-farm training followed by 12 months of engagement on the Regrarians Workspace, designed to provide longitudinal support for participants. He explained that the course includes studying the Regrarians Platform farm planning layers, Polyface Farm's planning processes, and the development of one of Polyface's rental farms. Darren emphasised the importance of the on-farm component for building lasting connections among participants.

Masterclass at Polyface Farm Overview

The meeting discussed a comprehensive farm planning course, which includes on-farm training and online components. Participants will visit Polyface Farm for 4 days to learn from Joel and Daniel Salatin (and Darren Doherty), followed by 2 days of developing individual farm plans, with guidance from these men. The course covers 10 layers of farm planning, including climate, geography, infrastructure, and management. Participants will receive access to course materials, recordings, and the Regrarians Workspace for 12 months after the course. The program encourages high levels of participant engagement and collaboration, with a maximum of 35 attendees.

Regrarians Workspace Transition Update

The meeting discussed the Regrarians Workspace and its transition to the new Mighty Networks-based platform. The current Workplace from Meta-based platform will close on August 31st, with read-only access until May 31st 2026. A new Mighty Networks-based platform will take its place on September 1st, offering similar functionality. The deadline for signing up for the on-farm masterclass was confirmed as July 25th. The Regrarians Workspace provides online support, access to webinars, and a community of professionals in the regenerative agriculture field.

Regrarians Membership Model Overview

Darren explained their Planner membership model, which includes a USD$95/month or USD$1,140 annual fee for access to their flagship REX® Online Farm Planning Course and a 50% discount on client-based services. He outlined that becoming a Regrarians' client requires becoming a Planner member, as this approach has been shown to lead to greater success for their clients. Since implementing this model in April 2025, they have attracted 5 new clients who specifically joined for these benefits.

REXi Masterclass Membership Overview

Darren explained the membership structure and benefits of joining the REXi Masterclass group, including access to orientation videos, Google Earth Pro templates, webinars, and the Regrarians Handbook. He clarified that the membership is project-based and emphasised that while discounts for additional participants at the on-farm Masterclass event are not available, family members or co-workers can be invited to access the online part of the course at no extra cost. Darren also highlighted the availability of one-on-one mentoring sessions and discounts on other trainings.

Regrarians Platform® Farm Planning Tools

The meeting focused on introducing the Regrarians Platform®, which hosts discussions and provides tools for farm planning. The platform includes features like Google Earth templates, contour maps, and search functionalities. A demonstration was given of how Regrarians generates contour maps for users, with a specific example of a farm in Colorado. The process involves creating contour plans of the farm and its watershed, which is crucial for landscape and water management. 

Comprehensive Farm Planning Overview

Darren explained the farm planning process, which involves mapping current assets using Google Earth Pro and completing the Regrarians Platform® checklist. He emphasised the importance of understanding both the human factors involved in farm planning, as it goes beyond simple landscape planning by considering financial and personal contexts. The process is designed to be self-directed but supported by Regrarians' expertise, with the goal of helping participants better understand their farm situation and plan for the future.

Regrarians REX® Farm Planning Course Webinar Access

The meeting concluded by looking at the REX Online Farm Planning Course webinars hosted by Regrarians, which include over 1,100 hours of recorded content on topics such as 'The Keyline® Plan', site analysis, infrastructure planning and holistic farm management. Regrarians announced upcoming events, including another REXi course in Mexico and 'Regrarians Open Consultancies' ('ROC') in Europe, as well as a 'Farm Planning for Agroforestry' course (with Propagate) in upstate New York. The content for REXi course in Mexico will be similar to the Polyface course, with the exception of the location and host organisation. Darren encouraged participants to join the Regrarians Workspace and register for the upcoming events.
